Affidea Atenea Alfafar is the Affidea network centre located in Alfafar, in the southern metropolitan area of Valencia. It serves patients from the southern metropolitan municipalities — Alfafar, Benetússer, Sedaví, Massanassa, Catarroja and surroundings — with the same diagnostic quality standards of the Affidea group, recognised in Europe for its excellence in diagnostic imaging.
Magnetic resonance imaging
The centre has high-resolution MRI for neurological, osteoarticular, oncological and abdominopelvic studies. Cardiac MRI, MR angiography and contrast-enhanced breast MRI studies are among the most specialised examinations available. The centre's radiologists issue detailed reports and are coordinated with the referring clinical specialists.
CT, ultrasound and radiology
Multi-slice CT covers the most frequent urgent and elective indications: thoraco-abdomino-pelvic CT, coronary and supraaortic CT angiography, spinal CT and high-resolution CT (HRCT) of the lungs. Ultrasound and conventional digital radiology are available without waiting times for requests from local doctors and specialists.
Mammography and bone densitometry
Affidea Atenea Alfafar's breast unit offers full-field digital mammography with tomosynthesis, complemented by high-resolution breast ultrasound. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) bone densitometry is the reference technique for diagnosing osteopenia and osteoporosis and is available on an outpatient basis.
