Resobert is a centre specialising in open MRI in Valencia, aimed particularly at patients with claustrophobia, obesity or other conditions that make conventional closed MRI scanners difficult or impossible. Resobert's open MRI equipment allows diagnostic studies of quality to be performed with greater patient comfort, maintaining the diagnostic standards required for most clinical indications.
Open MRI
Resobert's open MRI is indicated for patients who have refused or been unable to complete a study in a closed scanner due to claustrophobia, and also for elderly patients, anxious children or patients with physical limitations. The most common studies are spinal and joint MRI, brain MRI, abdominal MRI and pelvic MRI, with diagnostic quality sufficient for most common conditions.
Advantages of open MRI
The advantages of open equipment are significant for certain patient profiles: greater space and sense of openness, the possibility of having an accompanying person inside the room during the study, less noise than conventional closed equipment and the possibility of performing studies in a weight-bearing position (standing) for spinal and joint pathology in some equipment.
Coordination and radiological second opinion
Resobert also offers radiological second opinion for patients wishing an expert review of their MRI, CT or ultrasound images obtained at other centres. The second opinion service is particularly useful in complex oncological, neurological or musculoskeletal pathology.
